How To Enter Templates

If you have an integrated ESP, then entering templates is a required step.

Templates will simply be the shell of your email that contains all of the stuff that is always there. “headers, disclaimers, etc”. It will also contain a place holder for where your content will go.

From the dashboard, click Templates on the left hand menu. Once on the template page, click the create template button on the right hand side.

Fill out all of the fields and click the green save button once completed.

Template Name – Enter the name of your template

Select Associated List – Here you will select the list this template is associated with that you entered earlier in Send Planner.

Select Integration – Choose the integration that this template and associated list belong to.

Select List – This is the list that you want to send to in your ESP.

Select Segment – This is if you want to add any segments to your sends or send to a segment only in your ESP.

Editor – This is where you will design your template. If you have your template in html, you can simply select “view” then “source code” and paste it in. VERY IMPORTANT: You must add <#content#> in your template where you would like your content to be added.

Footer – Leaving this alone will select the default footer

Sending Information – Once you click save, you will see a popup to enter your default from name, from email, etc. You can override the default from name when setting up content.

***Special Tip*** – If you are sending to a segment only, there won’t be a brand associated with this segment in Maropost. One easy fix is to create a list with one seed email and select that list along with the segment so that the brand will be included.
